Contact Re-Tip

Contacts, of size Nema 4 and larger are more economical to re-tip than replace. A common rule of cost savings is  1/3 to 1/2 the cost of replacement contacts. Do not discard old contacts of this or larger Nema ratings until we discern if they are repairable/ A set of size 5 contacts  can cast as much as $3,000 to replace but can be repaired (re-tipped) for about half the cost of new

Obsolete Contacts

Many hard to find contacts are "deemed obsolete" by the manufacturer in as little as five years. We have a  70% plus success rate finding replacement contacts for these so called "obsolete items" saving the larger cost of total contactor replacement.

We also have the capability of building new contacts. All we need is a sample or engineering drawing of the old contacts and we can duplicate them, usually for less than the cost of an OEM new set.

Medium & High Voltage Contacts (15000+ volts)

Re-tipping is common practice for contacts and Reclosure devices of this size at great cost savings over new OEM purchases. OEM replacement kits for this voltage range are high end and very expensive.

We offer great cost saving alternatives by re-tipping and actual replacement kit manufacture without giving up the quality of OEM contact manufacturers.

Most OEMS do not manufacture their own contacts. They spec and purchase contacts in bulk from companies such as ours.

We offer replacement kits for high voltage contacts at great savings over OEM pricing. All low voltage capabilities listed above hold true for the high voltage as well.
